Pondicherry, also known as Puducherry, Union Territory in India, French colonial settlement, located on the south-eastern coast of the country. The first thing to strike anyone about the place is its French Connection, the colonial heritage bildings, spiritual seeneries and foreign feel. The town still has several French street names and French restaurants. Pondicherry is also known as the 'little France'.
